Valérie Maltais is a quadruple Olympian, with two Olympic medals under her belt. She is the first Canadian speed skater since 1988 to win an Olympic medal in short and long track speed skating. In 2023-2024, Maltais clinched the best season of her career, winning notably the overall title at the mass start.
